The SGM25712Q is a high-side ORing FET controller. This controller, combined with an external MOSFET, can function as an ideal diode rectifier when inserted in series with the power path.
By substituting conventional diode rectifiers within power distribution infrastructure, this controller minimizes energy dissipation and voltage differentials across the circuit.
The SGM25712Q device integrates a charge pump-driven gate driver for external N-MOSFETs alongside a rapid comparator to disable the FET during reverse current events. It operates across a 4V to 72V supply range and accommodates transient voltages as high as 75V.
The device is AEC-Q100 qualified (Automotive Electronics Council (AEC) standard Q100 Grade 1) and it is suitable for automotive applications.
The SGM25712Q is available in a Green SOT-23-6 package.
