Avnet now becomes SGMICRO’s first global distributor by expanding its distribution territory of SGMICRO’s analog integrated circuit solutions from the Asia Pacific Rim to regions of EMEA and Americas, and virtually with field supporting teams covering every region where there are electronic equipment development and production activities.

Avnet started its distribution cooperation with SGMICRO since early 2020 in Asia, with over 40 regional sales offices widespread among East Asia, ASEAN, India, Australia and New Zealand, and helped many local customers to get connected with SGMICRO’s products, created a steady trend of better brand recognition, fast growth and deep penetration with local customers.
With that great experience in Asia, both sides decided to further extend the cooperation to the EMEA area from early 2022 by distribution agreement with EBV Elektronik, an Avnet company. With 240 Technical Sales Specialists and 120 continuously trained Application Specialists in over 60 field offices in Europe, the Middle East and South Africa, EBV builds up a long-term understanding with a broad customer base. By combining EBV’s customer expertise and SGMICRO’s competitive analog IC solutions portfolio, both sides have received warm welcome and recognitions from local customers covering a broad range of applications.
After completing adoption of the existing distribution agreement in the Americas by Avnet Corporate in September 2022, the Avnet Americas team is now ready to provide local support to their customers from over 40 field offices covering all SGMICRO product lines, which SGMICRO believes that it will benefit all parties significantly as many customers with their headquarters in the Americas have already worked with SGMICRO very well in Asia.
