The European Union passed the “Restriction on Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment” (RoHS Directives 2002/95/EC) to ensure that, from 1 July 2006, new electrical and electronic equipment put on the market does not contain lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). SGMICRO completed most of its components on evaluation, confirmation and verification testing before ahead of deadline to ensure directive compliance and our customer needs in timely manner.
2011/65/EU（ROHS2.0）released by European Union from 1 July 2011 and had been carried out since 3 Jan 2013, at the same time the 2002/95/EC was repealed.

• REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) Declaration
REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals, EC 1907/2007) is the new European Union (EU) chemical substances regulatory framework. Its aim is to ensure a high level of protection of human health and the environment. REACH has entered into force since June 1, 2007 and will be phased in over an 11 years period (until 2018).
Following EU REACH REGULATION No. 1907/2006, based on information from upstream suppliers, SGMICRO guarantees that our products do not contain or intentionally release any SVHC candidates substances above the regulatory threshold of 0.1%, fully comply with EU REACH Directive. And we are committed to disclose information to customers on SVHCs that are present in products if The substance is present in those products in quantities totally over 1 tonne per producer or importer per year; and the substance is present in those products above a concentration of 0.1% weight by weight (w/w).

Directive 2006/122/EC: SGMICRO neither uses nor intentionally adds the following: PFOS and PFOA
PAHs: Based upon upstream suppliers survey result, SGMICRO controls PAHs threshold≦10ppm
